The modern accommodation is split between two buildings, with two adjacent living spaces in the main house. The first of the two is a glass-fronted veranda with a dining table, sofa and floor to ceiling windows, with billowing drapes, that open on to the terrace. The room provides a welcome cool space during the hottest summer months and is an inviting ‘indoor-outdoor’ garden-style space during cooler times of the year. From here, sliding glass doors lead into the villa’s main open plan living space, with an L-shaped sofa, another dining table and direct access to the spacious well-equipped kitchen. This same building has one double bedroom, with floor to ceiling glass doors to the terrace, and a contemporary en suite bathroom.
A separate dependence houses the two other double bedrooms, each with their own modern bathroom with shower. Again, they both have direct access to the terrace.

The area
The beaches at Baia Porto Ulisse are around 400m from the villa, accessible on foot along the main road. Close by, at Punta Cirica, the golden sand beaches are punctuated by clear natural pools that form between the rocks, in a delightfully unspoiled setting. The beaches extend as far as the rocky promontory of Punta Castellazzo to the east while to the west, you’ll find a wide selection of beaches, with crystal clear water and, in some cases, lido-style facilities, such as those at Santa Maria del Focallo, Marina di Modica, Sampieri and Pozzallo.
In the evenings, head into Pozzallo, Marina di Modica or the fishing village of Marzamemi on the east coast for dinner, a gelato or simply a pleasant stroll with sea views.
The villa is also perfectly placed for exploring southeast Sicily and its remarkable baroque treasures. The nearest of the baroque towns of the Val di Noto is Ispica – also home to the Cava Ispica, a 13km long canyon dotted with former cave dwellings and burial sites. Take time also to visit the UNESCO World Heritage listed towns of Noto, Modica and Ragusa. The remarkable city of Syracuse is a little further away (around 70km) and well worth a visit for its astonishing Greek history and for the beauty of its many ancient buildings.
