Vendicari is one of the most representative nature reserves in Europe. Its importance is internationally recognized. There are hundreds species of birds that choose this place each year as a stop on their journey to the breeding grounds.

Catania, the “lava city”, is the second largest city to visit on your Sicily holiday. It is located on the east coast of the island, on the Ionian sea at the foot of Mount Etna (the highest active volcano in Europe and since June 2013 Unesco heritage) and halfway between the cities of Messina and Syracuse. On several occasions volcanic eruptions destroyed the city but the most devastating one happened in the 17th Century. After that the entire old own was rebuilt in Baroque style.
