Ideal for family celebrations and get-togethers, the villa overlooks extensive grounds, with lawns, terraces and a saline-treated pool (4 x 8m) that remains open to guests all year round. Choose from two dining terraces, set on honey-coloured cobbled stone, one with an attractive ceramic-tiled open kitchen and barbecue. The garden also has an outdoor bathroom.
Constructed around an ancient stone house, the property comprises a main house and two separate dependences. In the main house, high ceilings and huge doorways and windows allow the light to stream into charming rooms adorned with antique furniture and featuring original polished floors scattered with rugs. On its ground floor is the large living room with sea views and an archway through to the well-equipped open plan kitchen and dining room. From here, you can catch a glimpse of the iconic ‘La Fornace Penna’, a historic building dating back to the early 20th century.
The first double bedroom and bathroom (shower) are on the ground floor. A splendid ceramic tiled staircase leads up to a double and a twin bedroom, and a second stunning contemporary bathroom (shower).
Pretty linens and luxurious, stylish bathrooms also characterise the two dependences. The first comprises two bedrooms, (a double and a twin), with a bathroom. The second has two double bedrooms, each with a mezzanine level sleeping area with two single beds, and two bathrooms with magnificent double showers.
Please note that a caretaker lives in the grounds and is on hand to assist with daily cleaning and the preparation of meals, on request.

The area
Situated half way between Scicli and the coastal town of Sampieri, Casale Donna Costanza is equally well placed for a beach holiday and exploring the baroque towns of south east Sicily. You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches, with Sampieri, Pozzallo and Punta Secca, the location for beachfront home of fictional detective Montalbano, on your doorstep.
Visible from the property, the imposing ‘La Fornace Penna’ is a dramatic sight that has been used as a film set. The former industrial building was created for the production of bricks in the early 1900’s but left in ruins by a fire in 1924.
Smaller than neighbouring Ragusa and Modica, nearby Scicli rather assumes the role of the younger sibling, yet has an exquisite town centre and plenty of choice when it comes to cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. It’s also a must for Montalbano fans – Scicli’s town hall was used as the fictional police station is the TV series. Don’t miss the splendid baroque art and architecture in Ragusa Ibla, Modica and, slightly further away, Noto and Palazzolo Acreide.
The ancient city of Syracuse, one of the great highlights of Sicily’s east coast, is steeped in Greek and Roman history. In addition to the attractions of the historic centre of the city on Ortigia island, an annual programme of classical plays is performed each summer between May and July at the magnificent Greek theatre.

01-06-2023 -Eccellente sotto tutti i punti di vista. Location perfetta per visitare la val di Noto, la provincia di Ragusa e la Montalbano Valley … Dotata di tutti i servizi, con una cucina perfettamente attrezzata e una bella piscina dalla quale godere il panorama del mare. L'assistenza di Pino, Teresa e Oriana è stata splendida. Eravamo in 7 e ci è spiaciuto tornarcene a casa.

07-01-2023 -Sono stata a Donna Costanza per concludere questo anno in compagnia di amici cari ed in una terra a me cara. La casa accogliente e bellissima, i suoi proprietari e l'ospitalità che ci hanno riservato Oriana, la nostra referente per il soggiorno insieme al Sig Pino, hanno contribuito a rendere il nostro soggiorno bello e unico. Non credo che le parole bastino per descrivere questo luogo...bisogna andare e viverlo di persona. La casa, curatissima nei dettagli, si incastona perfettamente in questo luogo che sa di ricordi e di tempi lontani. Noto, Scicli, Ragusa, Modica, il Castello di Donnafugata, Sampieri, Marzamemi e tanto altro...non mancano di certo luoghi da visitare facendo tutte le sere ritorno in questa splendida casa illuminata a festa per noi e per accompagnare il nostro brindisi al nuovo anno. Oltre alle comodità offerte dalla cura e dall'attenzione premurosa e affettuosa dei proprietari e di chi li rappresenta, questo luogo ci ha lasciato il sapore della Sicilia: il tepore del suo clima, il risveglio fra meravigliosi alberi di carrubo e una vista sul mare indimenticabile. Vorrei tornare e spero che non resti solo un proposito ma se anche cosi fosse manterrò di sicuro vivo il ricordo della mia esperienza al Casale Donna Costanza. Per questo la consiglio vivamente a tutti coloro che vogliono visitare questa meravigliosa parte della mia adorata Sicilia.

19-08-2022 -We have been in this house with friends few days in June and we have been enthusiastic about this new, clean and cozy house, out of the noise of the street but very near to the town of Scicli and to some of the world’s best beaches. The house is wonderful, big outdoor and indoor spaces, really comfortable bedrooms, and a huge patio with an incredible view. I strongly suggest this house as in it I passed some of the most amazing days of my summer.

Il casale, appena ristrutturato, è inserito in modo armonioso e rispettoso nel contesto dell'ambiente circostante. Si respira e si vive un'atmosfera piacevole, a contatto con la natura. La casa offre ampi spazi e i servizi necessari per garantire il miglior comfort a tutti gli ospiti. Gentilezza e disponibilità della proprietaria. Quando si lascia il Casale Donna Costanza si parte pensando già di fissare una data successiva per tornarci!
