Villa Carlotta

My husband and our brought our two teenage boys (both 16) to Villa Carlotta in July 2024. It was absolutely perfect for a family of this size; three full size double rooms, with two shower rooms internally and a lovely, powerful and hot outside shower. It was a true luxury being able to go for sea swims in the morning and throughout the day and for dips in the cold pool in between to cool ourselves off. The beach was quite popular with locals, but never too busy and having your own private decking area made a huge difference. The house is equipped with everything you could need to make your week comfortable as a family; air conditioning in every room, Sky TV, Alexa built-in music system, BBQ, laundry essentials and more. It really was a home-from-home for our week of holiday. The house is a very short driving distance from Finale di Pollina (3 minutes maximum) which is helpful for topping up supplies, with local shops and a couple of restaurants (though be aware, opening hours are sporadic and are not accurately reflected online, we had a nightmare trying to eat out in Finale!). We would highly recommend Eden Bar for breakfast and coffee. It is also only 20 minutes drive to Cefalu along the coastal road with stunning views and Cefalu is a must-visit, with history dating back to 700AD, amazing beach restaurants and much more consistent opening times for restaurants / bars that you can rely on. We also ventured in the opposite direction to Castel di Tusa; only 10 minutes away, we ended up eating twice at a restaurant called Onda Blue, which served the best Primi Spaghetti Carbonara we had all holiday! The only one small piece of constructive feedback we have was that the master bed we found to be incredibly hard. However, this was not enough to deter from how wonderful Villa Carlotta was. Thank you VERY much Carlotta, Roberto and family for a fantastic family holiday and for being such wonderful hosts. We hope to see you again at your gem of a house some time in the future! We absolutely loved our stay at Villa Carlotta. It was a lovely house, very tasteful and the location was absolutely fantastic. Perfect for us as a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 7 and 9 years. We loved being so close to the sea and within easy drive of lovely Cefalu. We had a car, but it looked like you could also get the train there easily in the evenings.) Carlotta and her husband were very kind and helpful, greeting us late when we arrived and providing some local food and a bottle of wine which was so welcome as it was late and we hadn't had chance to get anything to eat. I still remember arriving with the candles lit on the table outside and the sounds of the waves, it was magical. My kids absolutely loved the hot tub too, that was a real bonus. We would love to go back to this house, we had such a lovely relaxing holiday.

Dears, we were at villa Carlotta in July 2019 - wonderful place, perfect for family on even single vacation. Reality is even better, than photos, that is for sure! Very much appreciate and grateful to exclusively hospitable hosts - they are the best!!! I wish you all a pleasant stay!
