OverviewOffering ample space indoors and out, including an independent annex for 2, Azzurro Timpa is an excellent option for a larger family. Conveniently located a short drive from Catania airport, the attractively furnished contemporary villa is equally well placed for days on the beach and exploring many of the highlights of Sicily’s east coast, including Acireale, Taormina, and, of course, Mount Etna.
The entrance to the property leads directly on to the lovely pool area, set amidst furnished sun terraces, and with a convenient small outdoor kitchen corner. The independent annex, which is on the same level as the pool, and accessed directly from this terrace, provides an excellent alternative for couples within the group looking for a little extra privacy. Modern and decorated in bright, appealing colours, the mini apartment comprises a living room with a small table and chairs, a TV, good-sized kitchen and a sofa bed that opens out to a small double. The contemporary bathroom, tiled in shades of blue, has a shower.
You get to the main villa via a staircase leading from the pool terrace. This opens out on to a furnished terrace, with sun umbrellas and several seating areas, that wraps round the entire villa.
A conservatory style dining area, with retractable French doors, provides a lovely space to enjoy al fresco meals in summer and winter: shaded from the sun but with refreshing breezes during the summer heat, or indoors but with fabulous sea views during the cooler months.
French doors lead from the conservatory into a beautifully furnished living room, with a double sofa bed, and from there, into the large and very well-equipped kitchen. Here you’ll find everything you need for preparing meals, as well as a kitchen table. There is also a door to the shaded terrace at the rear of the property, offering an alternative al fresco dining option.
A corridor leads to the two double bedrooms, each with plenty of wardrobe space (one with a small dressing room). Both bedrooms have a super modern bathroom with shower and access to the terrace.
