CNA suggests 6 magical spots to visit in Sicily

The smash HBO TV hit White Lotus (series 2) may have finished but the magic of Sicily lives on. The satirical series is hugely entertaining (we can’t wait for series no. 3!) and not surprisingly, has generated a huge amount of interest in Sicily.

Apart from attracting big box office ratings, it has also pushed Sicily to the top of many viewers’ ‘must visit’ wish list. In fact, much of the series was filmed at the San Domenico Palace in Taormina but there are plenty of other alternatives, and you may prefer to stay in your own Sicily villa to rent. So take a look at journalist Chris Dwyer’s feature on Channel News Asia where he provides some valuable inspiration for would-be visitors in the way of places to stay and also culinary experiences.

Self-catering is a great option in Sicily but with prices starting at around £5,000 a night, the luxury Villa Tasca featured in the series may be a little more than you intend to spend! As an alternative, Chris recommends our Villa Dionisio, a luxury villa for 10 with jaw dropping coastal views from the infinity pool and wraparound terraces, and very striking interiors. And, of course, staying in a villa can be every bit as luxurious as a hotel thanks to the option of booking in-villa chefs, massage treatments, yoga classes and excursions to Taormina or the Aeolian Islands.
