We have always known that Sicily is a stunning destination for a honeymoon but it is always good when a wedding magazine agrees with you! Wed magazine is packed with great ideas for your big day and for a magical honeymoon so we were delighted when they decided to showcase two of our favourite honeymoon villas.
Perched above the harbour at Pozzillo on Sicily’s east coast, Terrazza sul Mare offers a slice of authentic Sicily. Buy fresh seafood from the ‘pescheria’ opposite the apartment, linger over leisurely meals on the vast sea-facing terrace and wander down to the rocks to dive into crystal clear water.
Casetta in Pietra, situated alongside the Monte Cofano Nature Reserve on Sicily’s west coast, was also a hit with Wed magazine. The two-bedroom stone cottage has a pretty terrace that looks out over a lovely sandy beach and is well-placed for visiting many of western Sicily’s main attractions or for taking a mini-cruise to the Aegadian Islands. The medieval hilltop town of Erice is close by but for the ultimate in romance, we recommend the sunsets over the saltpans between Marsala and Trapani!
