Wish Sicily in the Press

Rocca di Pietra recommended by the Times

We always get a bit of a buzz when one of our villas gets a big thumbs-up, whether by a guest or the media. And it was no different this week when the ‘Travel Doctor’ of the Times newspaper recommended Rocca di Pietra to a reader seeking suggestions for large villas in Sicily. Criteria for the villa included that it was spacious and sufficiently comfortable to suit a multi-gen party of 9 adults and 2 children in May half-term 2027, as well as having a pool and the option of catered dinners.

Villa Rocca di Pietra

Rocca di Pietra is a lovingly restored villa that preserves numerous traditional features alongside a high level of comfort. Rustic stone walls, lofty vaulted ceilings and antique Sicilian furniture sit alongside contemporary fittings throughout. Each of the bedrooms has direct access to the garden which makes the most of its fabulous location, with tiered terraces, an outdoor kitchen and barbecue corner that look out over a stunning rural landscape.

In terms of location, the villa works well for groups with diverse interests. It’s set close to an array of gorgeous sandy beaches but also within easy driving distance of the stunning baroque towns of Modica, Ragusa and Scicli.

And when it comes to food and mealtimes, in villa chefs are available for anyone who wants some catering back-up, and cooking classes for those who want to immerse themselves in Sicilian gastronomy.
