Case Fil is an impeccably stylish modern villa, with a superb 18m pool, situated amongst the olive groves and vineyards in the countryside near Trapani and Erice on Sicily’s west coast. The property’s layout, comprising 3 self-contained cube-shaped buildings, makes it ideal for couples or for families looking for affordable luxury.
The first thing you notice when you arrive at Case Fil is the stunning 18m pool, set directly in front of the main house. All around the pool, double-width sun mattresses adorn dazzling white terraces, with one perfectly positioned afloat at either end of the pool for guests looking to trail fingers and toes in the water while they soak up the sun. Beyond the pool terraces, there’s a large grassy lawn for the kids. After a morning by the pool, freshen up in the outdoor bathroom (with shower) then head for the dappled shade of the outdoor dining terrace for lunch. The terrace has a fully-equipped barbecue area, woodburning oven and plenty of work surfaces. The pool area comes with a sunshade 3x4mt in size.
All three buildings are furnished in a contemporary style, with smooth sleek interiors and a calming, white theme, and all with direct access to the garden. Each building has a master bedroom with a luxurious private bathroom with shower.
The first of the three buildings, the main villa which overlooks the terrace and pool, houses a spacious open plan living and dining room, with a piano and sofa seating. Floor to ceiling glass doors lead to the garden and a modern fireplace sits at the heart of the room. The fully-equipped kitchen has a larder for storing provisions and a full-size dining table. In addition to the master bedroom (with a luxurious bed at three centers designed by two.), there is a dressing room with a folding bed suitable for a child.
The second and third building are simply furnished with a double bed, a bathroom and small kitchen corner. Both have mezzanine levels which are only suitable for children due to the low ceilings. In the second building, the mezzanine has a double bed futon; in the third, the mezzanine features a double bed futon and a single bed futon. A garden room houses the washing machine and dryer.

The area
With a good road network to Trapani and the coast, Case Fil is very well placed for exploring western Sicily.
The villa is just over 10 minutes by car from the centre of Trapani which has a beautiful historic centre which will give you a good sense of the Arab influence on the island. Wander through the narrow cobbled-stone streets where there are cafes, bars and trattorie where you can feast on locally-caught fresh fish.
From Trapani, hop on a cable car up to the medieval town of Erice (also 15 min drive from the villa), explore the salt pans for which this area is so well-known, or head south to visit the pedestrianised old town centre of Marsala to learn more about wine production in the region. For anyone interested in Sicily’s ancient history, the temple at Segesta is close by, and Selinunte on the south west coast, a little further.
There’s an excellent choice of beaches close by. Trapani town has a good selection, including San Giuliano beach which has sparklingly clear water, and Porta delle Botteghelle which is ideally suited to families. A little further north, heading towards the golden sands of San Vito lo Capo, Cornino and Macari beach are particularly picturesque, and to the east, tiny coves fringe the Zingaro Nature Reserve.

Bella location che permette anche a coppie di amici di avere la propria privacy. Ottima piscina e piacevole l’arredamento interno.
