Overview

OverviewSituated well within an hour’s drive of Palermo city centre and airport, Monreale, Cefalù and the Madonie Mountains, the magnificent seafront Villa Cecilia Trabia estate is an excellent base for exploring northern Sicily. With extensive plant and flower-filled gardens, a covered gazebo for outdoor living and three swimming pools, the estate is tailor made for celebrations for families and large groups of friends.

The villa has direct access to a pebbly beach and small harbour and guests can rent an 8m RIB boat or a 4m rowing boat with engine for an additional fee.

At the heart of Villa Cecilia’s glorious garden are three pools (20m with marked lanes, a Jacuzzi and children’s pool), overlooked by a large open gazebo with sofas, tables and chairs and a TV. Covered dining terraces, roof gardens and other shady spots amongst exotic palms, ancient loquat trees and tropical flowers make this a very special place.

The accommodation is in a main villa and three separate cottages (Primaula, Glicine and Agapanto), with a maximum occupancy of 22 people. In the main villa, there are four bedrooms (three en suite doubles, plus a twin/double with its shared bathroom), a living room, and a dining-room and kitchen on both floors. An additional twin bedroom is available for maximum occupancy. Both floors of the main villa have large terraces overlooking the gardens. The three separate cottages (two with two bedrooms, plus a studio for two people) each have a living room and kitchenette and their own patios and private gardens.

This property is listed as a 'Partnership Listing' villa. This means that the deposit payment is due to WishSicily, while the full balance will be requested directly by the property owner. Your full balance payment will be guaranteed by our Payment Protection Policy and contractual Terms and Conditions.

  • The property owner will provide you with check-in instructions before arrival.
  • Check-in is strictly between 4pm and 8pm. Guests may arrive at the villa before 4pm solely to drop off their luggage at euro 50 extra.
  • Check-out is strictly between 8am and 10am, and must be conducted in the presence of the property owner/manager.
  • Refundable security deposit from euro 1500 to euro 2000 payable in cash upon check-in or via credit card.
  • Daily service included in all the accommodations: bed remaking and cleaning of toilets and kitchen (excluding pans and tableware), essential room cleaning and sweeping of all the outdoor spaces of the villa and gardens. Change of bed linen and bath/pool towels on Wednesday.
  • Electricity & A/C: 800 - 1050 kWh included - Exceeding electricity consumption charged at the market electrity tariff applicable at the time of arrival. The tariff will be communicated to the guest one week before check-in. 
  • Heating at 40°C of large Jacuzzi pool (optional) - from Euro 700 to Euro 1350 per week.

Area

This luxury, seafront villa is located in Trabia (walking distance to shops and restaurants), a charming seaside village just a few miles from Palermo, Monreale and Cefalù, on the northern coast of Sicily. The panoramic terrace enjoys a splendid view of the sea and nearby there is a small private harbour where guests can take advantage of a speedboat (available on request).

A little further afield, though still only about an hour away, is the Greek temple and theatre at Segesta. The archaelogical site of Himera can be reached in less than 40 minutes by car.

Trabia features several fish restaurants, trattorie, pizzerie and bars. There is also a good selection of well-equipped supermarkets, greengrocers, butchers and bakeries.

There are several good restaurants/pizzerie within walking distance of the villa so you can eat out and have a glass of two of wine without having to worry about driving back home.

Very good accommodation. Clean pool & excellent staff. Very good accommodation & grounds. Excellent staff. Would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a large family holiday.

Villa Trabia is a very beautiful house surrounded by a magnificent garden. There is a wonderful swimming pool, hot whirlpool and little children pool. The garden is a delight to escape with little paths leading to terraces and spaces to sit and enjoy the garden. We stayed here for one week with extended family of three generations and had a wonderful holiday. Any small issues were dealt with promptly. The staff came daily to clean and were so helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend Villa Cecilia.

I wanted to take a moment to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Villa Cecilia. You were from the very start, very easy and accommodating to work with, very upfront about accommodations and answered my questions thoroughly and promptly. I cannot thank you enough for that. Trying to make a group of 22 happy is hard enough but everyone had an amazing time and the accommodations were perfect for us, giving us time to be together as well as time apart. Your staff is truly something to be proud of: Manuela was most accommodating and thorough, Signore Graziela and her team as well, serving up two beautiful meals and not batting and eye when we asked for a delay in serving on the night of my sons birthday party so we could enjoy cocktail hour a little longer. What I loved most about your villa, aside from the incredible layout, gardens and lushness, was the location. While not in a touristy area necessarily, we loved the location across the street from Hotel Tonnara, which we frequented almost daily, for breakfast, lunch and twice for dinner. We became very friendly to Anelo, the restaurant manager and spent a lot of time night swimming and just enjoying being the only Americans around. We felt truly immersed in Sicily. It was an easy commute to Castellemare Del Golfo, the birthplace of the family’s grandparents, as well as Cefalù, a beautiful location on its own, where we enjoyed the most amazing cooking class through Sicilian Food Lovers at Villa Palamara. We also were able to take a day trip to the Aeolian Islands, another incredibly beautiful and memorable trip. Thank you for helping our family enjoy a trip of a lifetime that we will never forget.
