The Natural Reserve of Cavagrande is a protected area. It covers the territory of Avola, Siracusa and Noto. In this place you will have the opportunity to see the Oriental plane tree almost entirely extinct in western countries living only in south-eastern Europe and in Western Asia.
Vendicari is one of the most representative nature reserves in Europe. Its importance is internationally recognized. There are hundreds species of birds that choose this place each year as a stop on their journey to the breeding grounds.

Weekend in Pantelleria (2 days)
Pantelleria is characterized by the uniqueness of its landscape, in which natural elements (rock lava flows, coves and cliffs) are mixed with the artifacts created by man and with the white Dammuso houses scattered on the striking and hilly island. The Panteschi Gardens are an example of Arabic culture.

Catania and surroundings (4 days)
Catania, the “lava city”, is the second largest city to visit on your Sicily holiday. It is located on the east coast of the island, on the Ionian sea at the foot of Mount Etna (the highest active volcano in Europe and since June 2013 Unesco heritage) and halfway between the cities of Messina and Syracuse. On several occasions volcanic eruptions destroyed the city but the most devastating one happened in the 17th Century. After that the entire old own was rebuilt in Baroque style. Among the main attractions of Catania there are the Cathedral, the Palazzo degli Elefanti called Loggia, the Town Hall, the Palace of the Seminary of the Clerics, Palazzo Pardo and Palazzo Marletta.
