Live the Dream at Luxury Villa Panarea in Sicily
Villa Panarea is the newest arrival to the Wish Sicily portfolio – one we are anticipating will be a hugely popular addition for guests looking for that extra touch of indulgence. Three luxurious double bedrooms accommodate six people but this is no standard villa for six: the vast indoor and outside spaces that characterise Panarea are more typical of a villa for ten or more. Stylish interiors house exquisite furniture and contemporary art, fitted out with comforts that go far beyond the norm. Meanwhile, outside, there’s ample space for adults to relax and kids to play in the expansive garden with sweeping lawns and shady terraces.
Visit between April and October and the chances are you’ll be spending most of your time outside, where pale paved terraces and the striking white villa structure are the backdrop to a splash of colour provided by the dazzling blue waters of the pool and lush green lawns. This is the stuff that dreams are made of: spend days lounging around the fabulous 15m saltwater pool or, as the sun dips, luxuriating in the poolside jacuzzi; then retreat to the outdoor kitchen to grab a chilled beer from the fridge or contemplate what toppings to put on the homemade pizzas being prepared for the pizza oven.
Inside Villa Panarea
The sense of wide open space you get outside continues when you step into Villa Panarea’s stylish interiors where a striking entrance hall with a high vaulted ceiling sets the tone for the rest of the villa. The ground floor is essentially one large open plan space, cleverly designed to create a series of tastefully furnished rooms, and large enough to allow everyone to find their little corner of heaven. There’s an elegant lounge and dining area, a super glossy kitchen with a breakfast bar and, tucked away in one corner, an exquisite work space that doubles up as an idyllic reading den or quiet corner. Top spot though is the gorgeous spa area, with a steam room and large emotional shower.
Continue up the imposing staircase to the first floor and you’ll find a master suite that rivals any 5-star hotel suite, with a huge walk-in wardrobe and access to a large sea view terrace. Bathrooms (ensuite for each bedroom) also offer the ultimate in luxury and contemporary comfort.
Beaches, volcanic islands and nature reserves
Villa Panarea is located on Sicily’s north east coast, a corner of Sicily which offers a little taste of the very best of the island! Sandy beaches, nature reserves and the lesser-explored Nebrodi mountains are all on your doorstep. So too the volcanic Aeolian Islands – a private boat trip to the islands is a great way to spend the day, specially as Milazzo, the departure point for the islands, is so close to the villa. You’ll also find plenty of fascinating history and culture locally, in the village of Rodi Milici and nearby at Tindari, once one of the main Greek centres in Sicily.

Looking for that extra touch of luxury? Getting a local chef to come in and prepare a couple of dinners for you can make a great holiday even more memorable. While they’re taking care of menus, ingredients and prepping, you can have a long leisurely swim or relax in the steam room before gathering together for a mouthwatering 3-course Sicilian feast.
