We always love collaborating with the media so we were delighted when travel writer Amanda Hyde sought our advice for an article in the Telegraph on where the adventurous holidaymaker is heading to in Sicily<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Time-short and eager to accept recommendations, so many of us fall into the trap of booking a holiday at an instantly recognisable destination. In Sicily, Taormina and Cefal\u00f9 are the most familiar holiday spots for UK holidaymakers: in fact, Taormina has been on the tourist trail since the 19th<\/sup> century, renowned for its dramatic views and ancient sites. But there\u2019s so much more to Sicily, particularly if you\u2019re visiting for a second or third time and are keen to dive a little deeper into Sicilian culture.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Asked for his personal recommendations, Wish Sicily owner, Gioacchino Sortino suggested the area around Tindari<\/a>, in the northeast of the island, where there are fewer tourists than elsewhere in Sicily and some stunning off-the-beaten track villages to explore. And with plenty of excellent beaches, the natural beauty of the Nebrodi mountains and a good helping of ancient history and architecture locally, there\u2019s more than enough to do to fill a week or two.
