Try to find time for a few beach visits if you\u2019re holidaying here in the heat of the summer but our guess is that at any time, you may still struggle to squeeze in <strong>everything there is to see in this unique region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If ever you needed an example of a silver lining to a natural disaster, the eight towns in the <strong>Val di Noto<\/strong>, a combined UNESCO site, are the perfect illustration. Flattened by an earthquake in 1693, the towns of Caltagirone, Militello, Catania, Modica, Noto, Palazzolo Acreide, Ragusa and Scicli <strong>were all re-built in the late Baroque style of the day<\/strong>. To help you plan your south east sicily itinerary, these are some of our top things to see and do in the area.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sicily Val di Noto<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Visit Sicily south east coast late in the day when the soft tufa stone used for most of the grand baroque <strong>buildings glows in the late afternoon sun<\/strong>.
