Wander straight down to the water’s edge from this eye-catching blue-shuttered beachfront villa situated on the Tyrrhenian coast between Cefalù and Capo d’Orlando. Ideal for a family or two couples, Starfish House is within easy reach of the motorway which extends from east to west, right along the north coast of the island.
There is a good-sized garden with attractively-furnished shady terraces that overlook the lawn and clumps of towering palm trees. Comfy outdoor seating, mosaic-inlaid tables and benches fill different areas within the leafy garden, providing plenty of space for outdoor living and dining. There is also a small children’s play area and a sea-facing terrace but the real highlight is being able to slip through the garden gate straight on to the beach. Deckchairs are provided for use on the beach and, as the beach is pebbly, we recommend taking water shoes to protect your feet.
Spread across one floor and simply-furnished with terracotta tiled floors and white-washed walls throughout, the villa has a living room with two large sofas, a dining table and direct access into the kitchen. There are two bedrooms (one double, one twin), with doors straight out to the garden, each with its own bathroom.

Starfish House is a beachfront villa in the true sense of the word, with the pebbly beach and crystal clear waters of the Tyrrhenian sea literally on your doorstep and views across to the Aeolian Islands. There are several sandy beaches a little further away, around Capo d’Orlando to the east or Cefalù to the west.
The nearest towns and villages for local shopping are at Acquedolci and Santo Stefano di Camastra, both within around a 10-minute drive. Santo Stefano di Camastra is best known for its colourful ceramics but, like Capo d’Orlando, it also has a good selection of restaurants.
The Nebrodi Mountains are close by and well worth a visit for anyone interested in hiking, mountain-biking and gastronomy. Whilst the region’s hiking trails are less established than those of the Madonie, there are some spectacular landscapes and several towns and villages which are highly recommended.
The proximity of the motorway makes it easy to travel in either direction, to the coastal resort of Cefalù, with its lively central piazza and UNESCO Duomo, or the archaeological site and Sanctuary at Tindari.
