We were delighted to once again see ourselves featured in the pages of the Times travel supplement, this time by way of a recommendation by the Times Travel Doctor to a larger group looking for a villa in Sicily with a pool.
Situated on the outskirts of Trecastagni, on the slopes of Mount Etna, Villa Rosa Antica is a great option for a group of friends seeking plenty of living space and several en suite bedrooms – the villa actually has room for up to 13 people, with seven bedrooms and bathrooms. The gardens at Rosa Antica are equally spacious, with shady terraces, flower-edged lawns and a pool.
There is also plenty to do locally, with Catania and Taormina close by, and a good choice of activities based around Mount Etna. Trecastagni town, which is just two minutes’ away by car, has a good selection of restaurants, supermarkets and gelaterie.
